Mr. Weston, a founding partner of the firm,
is a graduate from San Jose State University having received
his Bachelor of Arts degree. He obtained his law degree from
Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, and was
admitted to practice in 1978.
Mr. Weston has more than 30 years of civil trial experience. He has litigated, from inception through appeal, a wide range of cases including wrongful termination, sexual harassment, discrimination, construction defect, product liability, pharmacy error, medical malpractice, premises liability, automobile liability, intentional torts, wrongful death, food borne illness and other matters.
He is a member of the California State Bar,
the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the American Bar Association,
RIMS, and the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel.
Mr. Weston, having received formal training
as a mediator through Pepperdine University School of Law’s
Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution, serves as a private,
as well as a pro bono arbitrator and mediator for the Los Angeles
County Superior Court. Mr. Weston is also a member of the faculty
of Los Angeles Valley College where he teaches courses in employment
law and paralegal studies.
Mr. Weston spends considerable time meeting with clients and insurance professionals. He leads seminars in effective claims handling, settlement negotiation techniques, cost-effective defense strategies and what to expect from defense counsel.
