Kathy Lerner is a litigation associate at Weston Herzog LLP in the civil litigation practice group.
Mrs. Lerner obtained her undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles, graduating summa cum laude and earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science with a Women’s Studies minor. Mrs. Lerner became a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society due to her academic achievements at UCLA.
She graduated Pepperdine University School of Law in 2012, obtaining her Juris Doctorate as well as her Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. During law school, Mrs. Lerner served as the Note and Comment Editor of the Journal of Business, Entrepreneurship and the Law. She was a finalist in the Moriarty Moot Court Competition and a member of the Moot Court Board. Mrs. Lerner currently serves a volunteer judge for Pepperdine’s various moot court competitions.
Since her admission to the California State Bar, Mrs. Lerner has gained substantial experience in civil and commercial litigation, including cases involving contractual disputes, premises liability, negligence, intentional torts, fraud, and a wide array of unfair business practice and competition matters. She has also obtained expertise in transactional affairs involving the negotiation and drafting of company formation contracts and lease agreements as well as confidentiality and non-disclosure contracts for corporate clients.
