A founding partner of the firm, Mr. Herzog obtained his Bachelor’s
degree in writing and literature from the University of California
at San Diego. He graduated from Loyola Law School, where he served
as an editor of Loyola’s Entertainment Law Journal.
Since being admitted to the California Bar in 1992, Mr. Herzog
has concentrated on civil litigation with particular emphasis
in the
defense of product liability, premises liability, negligence, motor
vehicle, construction site accident and construction defect cases.
Mr. Herzog also has extensive experience in commercial and business litigation. He has represented numerous clients in matters involving contractual disputes, wrongful termination, employment and disability discrimination (including the Americans with Disabilities Act), unfair business practices/false advertising (including California Business and Professions Code §17200), real property, landlord-tenant and commercial collections.
In addition to litigation, Mr. Herzog possesses substantial expertise
in transactional matters including business entity formation and
the negotiation and drafting of complex agreements for corporate,
partnership and entertainment industry clients.
Mr. Herzog serves as General Counsel to several nonprofit organizations
including the American Cinema Editors (ACE) and California Lawyers
for the Arts. He is a member of the California and Los Angeles
County Bar Associations.
